Who’s the Boss?

Who’s the boss?  That is the question.  Does the devil dictate your peace or anxiety or do you have control over your life?   When Jesus was asleep on the boat and the winds began to rage and it frightened the disciples, they woke Jesus up in dismay.  Simply by creating a storm the devil was able to steal the disciple’s peace.  Only when Jesus calms the storm were the disciples free from anxiety.   What about your life?  Do you only have peace when there is calm or do you have faith to stay in peace even when the devil tries to disrupt your life?  As long as the devil knows he can push your buttons and cause fear, anxiety, and turmoil, he will do it.  If we get to the place where our faith is strong, regardless of circumstances, then we can get to the place where the devil does not dictate our peace and happiness, our fear and anxiety.  Faith is the guarantee of the blessing we hope for.  When we have faith we have confidence, when we have confidence we have assurance, and when we have assurance we have the victory and the devil cannot break our trust in God.

Are you living in chaos?  Is life out of control?  Is the devil dictating whether you are happy or sad, healthy or sick, rich or poor?  If so, then you must begin to fight the fight of faith.  You must begin to establish a spiritual life, a life where stillness and solitude are as important as work and company.  You must recognize that the devil is the cause of the chaos and you must begin to speak to every mountain of difficulty and learn to stay undisturbed in the storm.

The more the devil tried to disrupt my life, the greater was my determination to go deeper into the word of God, to go deeper in prayer, to go deeper in faith.  It took me many years to get out from under the devil’s thumb but because I trusted in God and would not give up the fight of faith, I received the blessing and the devil had to back off.  He no longer dictates whether I am happy or sad, sick or well, rich or poor.  I live in victory and I bring a message of hope.  It is because my faith is now my guarantee of the blessing I hope for, I do not fear or worry or get angry or upset.  God is my boss and I am his child and my future is certain.

The question remains. Who’s the boss?

Amen
