Christ in his humility Does not bring attention unto himself He expects us To explore and seek To explore and discover To abandon the world In order to find the key That unlocks the mystery The mystery which is Christ If you wish to know him My savior and king You must seek You must look within And look without You must deny yourself And take up your cross As Christ took up his And denied his very self To please the Father And to walk in the Spirit To unlock the mystery It is more than an intellectual exercise But one in which You put the word of God into practice The key to unlock the mystery Is to live by faith And not by sight The key is to live for God alone And detach from all worldly relationships To live in silence To live in holiness To live in peace Formality will not unlock the mystery Legalism will not unlock the mystery Selfishness will not unlock the mystery Ego will not unlock the mystery Only by losing your life Will you save it Only by giving it all up Will you gain the kingdom Only then will you begin to understand The mystery which is Christ Amen. |
