The difference between a movie star and a wise man is that a movie star wants you to see her whereas a wise man gets you to see yourself.

Learn the secret of awareness.  Live in the here and now.  Learn to see yourself as you act and react to life’s challenges and situations.  Just look at yourself as you look and see how you are responding to every moment of life.  Then you can evaluate your spiritual life effectively.

Turn the switch.  Learn to take the same information and see it in a different light.  You do not have to respond with fear or anxiety to negative information if you can see it differently.  It is an avenue to freedom and victory.

The past and the future are not real.  Only the present is real.  Stay in the present.

By looking at nature you can still the soul and live with inner peace and quiet.

Words define and dissect.  They point to what is to be seen.  When they have shown you the direction to look, forsake words and live in silence and just look.

A method can point you to reality.  It can never get you there.  Only by receiving the Spirit will you see reality.

Law teaches you how to live.  The Spirit shows you how to love.

 Scripture helps you to see the goal and to attain the goal.  But the goal is God, not scripture.

God will not impute sin if you are led of the Spirit and are not under the law.

Love is attained through detachment not clinging.  It is attained by seeing things in themselves not in seeing what you can get out of it.

Only by making Christ first in your life can you love your neighbor as yourself regardless of  one’s personal relationship with them.
