The Dead Sea is a dead sea because
there is no outlet, there is no flow.
Because there is no giving, there is no life. Apply that truth to your own life. Regeneration occurs when we find creative
ways to be giving and generous. If all
we expect from work is what we receive there will be little life, little joy,
little fire. We will always want and
expect more to fill a void in our life that only comes by giving. But if we learn and discover the value of
doing a good job, of being friendly and helpful and even going the second mile
if need be, we will be renewed and able to receive more and we will be vessels
of life not a dead sea. It is by
emptying ourselves that we gain the capacity to receive and by giving, renewed
in the spirit and work becomes a vibrant and meaningful experience.
