The covering of a woman is not a cap or a hat.  It is a spiritual relationship that exists between a man and a woman.  A woman gets great grace and beauty when she is properly covered by the man.  It is the order of God.  The head of the woman is the man.  The head of man is Christ.  The head of Christ is God.  As long as the man is in proper relationship to Christ the woman ought to submit to the man and man must submit to Christ.  When that order is maintained great grace and blessing attends the church.  Not only are women protected but they operate with peace and confidence and quietness.  By being covered they fulfill their spiritual destiny as a woman.

    Because of the order of God, women are in a precarious position.  They must find men who are submitted to Christ, walking in love and purity and holiness.  Unfortunately, men today will not submit to Christ and because of this, there are many more women in the church then men and women find it very difficult to find holy god fearing men in the church to marry.  As a result they compromise and get unequally yoked and experience great hardships in marriage.

    Submission is a great sign of humility.  We must pray for men to submit to Christ and women to submit to men.  When the man is out of the order of God, woman must not submit to them but to Christ and pray that the man get back in right relationship with Christ so that the order God has ordained will be reestablished.  Lucifer fell because of pride.  He would not submit to God.  Men of all ages have ended up in hell because they would not submit to Christ and women do not experience the grace of being covered because men will not submit. 

    Unless we as men and women die to the flesh and self and the world and pride we will not experience the benefit of God’s order in the world for them.  By humility and obedience we achieve the grace that God intended for his created beings.  In the order of God it is the woman who is in need of covering.  It is the mandate of man to be in position to be that covering for women.  The man is not covered by the woman but rather he is to submit to Christ and in that submission he becomes a suitable covering for the woman.  The world is in great disharmony because of the rebellion of the human race and only by being born again and sanctified and baptized in the Holy Spirit will we achieve the order that God intended for men and women.  Pray for men to submit to Christ and women to submit to man and all to submit to God.
