We walk by faith and not by sight

2 Cor 5:7

Faith is the only thing that pleases God.  We are saved by faith.  He preserves us by faith.  We have access to grace by faith.  It is by faith that we call those things that are not as though they were.  Truly we are to walk by faith and not by sight.

God wants us to live in the spirit.  He wants for us to live and move and have our being with him.  While we are in this earthly tabernacle at most we move in the soul if not in the flesh but hardly ever in the spirit.  Unless we put on our heavenly tabernacle we are doomed to remain naked tempted by our flesh and our carnality.  But if we crucify our flesh and if our body is dead because of sin then we can receive a heavenly tent and live in the spirit.

Now there are different levels of operating in the spirit.  We can live in wisdom and love, knowledge and joy, faith and peace, longsuffering and healing, and prophesy and goodness.  We can live in the spirit and not be subject to fear, doubt, anxiety, resentment, bitterness, anger, malice, jealousy, and strife.  We can live victoriously now in this life and do not have to wait until we go to heaven.  We do this by dissolving our earthly tent and putting on our heavenly one.  We do this by faith and we believe by faith not by sight.  It may look like the same body but it is not.  We live and walk in the spirit when we put off this old tent and put on the new one.  We dissolve ourselves from all worldly associations and the flesh and put on the new man.  We do this by faith.

Amen.
