Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the
Kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicator, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you... 1Cor6:9-11a Unless you deal with sin in your life now you will not inherit the kingdom of God. If you think you can enter heaven with an unclean spirit like idolatry or fornication you are sadly mistaken. Imagine thinking that someone who is an adulterer can live in the presence of God. Imagine someone who is a liar or a thief being in the presence of God. You must be delivered now or forever make your bed in hell. If you think you can be the same old judgmental condescending person you have always been and are worthy to go to heaven because you go to church on Sunday and say your prayers once in a while, you do not understand the conditions for receiving eternal life. St. Paul makes it very clear. You must be delivered and you must be made righteous. Unless you receive Jesus and fulfill his will for your life, unless you obey the gospel and work out your salvation with fear and trembling you will not enter the kingdom. The kingdom of God is a pearl of great price. To buy that pearl you must forsake all and sell everything you have and buy it. The kingdom is a great treasure hid in the field that when you find that treasure you sell all and buy that field. The kingdom is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Neither the fearful or unbelieving have any inheritance in the kingdom of God. The kingdom of God is like leaven that has to permeate the entire meal. To enter the kingdom you must be filled with God.
The
condition for seeing God is purity of heart.(Matt5) Without purity there is no vision. Without purity you will not enter the
kingdom. Only those who have overcome
sin by the blood of the Lamb and have yielded to the Holy Spirit and have
obeyed his leading will live in the presence of God forever. If you do not obey God you automatically
default to the other kingdom. That is
why Jesus is so severe in his teachings.
You cannot go to heaven if you are possessed by unclean spirits. You cannot enter the kingdom if you are
unrighteous. So consider carefully what
is being said and make the call. Amen. |
