Don't Pick It UP

Imagine seeing a hundred dollars on the street and walking right by it.  Or imagine getting a call from someone you were dying to connect with and not picking up the call.  Now imagine the company making a decision that adversely affected your life.  In all these instances you would respond without thinking.  Of course you would pick up the money and of course you would answer the phone and of course you would be mad at management in the company.  But the truth of the matter is, you could choose not to pick it up  When  people say or do things that hurt us, we get angry without thinking.  We just react.  But when someone says or does something which offends us, we can choose not to pick it up.  And if we don't pick it up, we can stay peaceful, motivated, and centered and continue to do a good job in spite of circumstances and our life will not be disrupted when things don't go our way and our job will still be done well.
