Lord,
You have broken me And broken me When I thought I could take no more You broke me still Only by being broken From the world From the flesh From self From sin From human effort Can the Spirit Have full control And reign You cannot trust The soul that is Lured by the things Of the world The things of the flesh The things of self Only the soul That is free Can you trust And place your Spirit within It is only when We have died to all these things Can we move freely in the Spirit And God can rule and reign It is only when we take No thought for our life What we shall eat What we shall wear And yield completely to the Spirit That God can use us Money has no power over me Sex has no power over me Associations of the world Have no power over me Food has no power over me Self-interest has no power over me The world has no power over me Only God has power over me Only the Spirit Only obedience Only love This is the fruit of brokenness This is the goal of God This soul, God can use for His glory Amen |
