Picture your mind as a stream of consciousness, going from one thought to the next without interruption and without a break....only sleep breaks the stream. In this world of constant motion the routine becomes monotonous and boring, prone to error and mistake. From eight thirty until five, five and six days a week, performing the same tests can become tedious at best. Our bodies become tired, subject to sickness and disease due to a lack of renewal with no creativity or awareness. What's the solution? Silence. Being able to sit still and be. If we learn how to stop the mental movement from one thought to the next, from one activity to the next, we can renew our lives, be open to creativity and spontaneity, and be present to the duties and activities of the job. If we learn how to break the stream of consciousness we will become renewed and in being renewed, fresh to perform our job with less effort and greater accuracy and reliability. We may not be able to change what we do at our job, but if we change ourselves, the job will be fresher and more alive, and we will be more vibrant and a better contributor to our company and its success.
