| When I meet Jesus I want to know him I want to purify myself As he is pure So I can know him When he reveals himself to me I want to see him As he is So that he is not a mystery And an unknown But through revelation Experience and the word I will truly know him And in knowing him Love him For whom he is Selah My calling As a Son of God Is hidden to them Which are lost As Jesus was In his day He has taken me On a journey Through a myriad of circumstances To partake of the suffering Of Christ That I might share In his resurrection And know him Personally and experientially And recognize him For to know him Is to love him As a result I want nothing to do with sin Or lust Or unclean thoughts I have tasted that life And it no longer Has power over me I want to be filled With all the fullness of God Have the mind of Christ And walk in love So as he reveals himself to me In his word I will know him When he reveals himself to me In person And because of his sacrifice Share eternal life as friends Amen |
