Trust in the Lord He is near to those who trust in him Trust and do not be afraid Death is a mere stepping stone to eternal life Money no guarantee of happiness or peace Only the Lord our sure reward As we place our trust in him He alone is our rock He alone is our safety He alone is our shield He is the alpha and omega The beginning and the end Our days on earth are a breath Here today, gone tomorrow But eternity now and forever Only faith in God will reap a harvest Only faith in God will reap the blessing So commit your life to him And forsake the world With its power to attract Through the lure of the flesh But God is a Spirit And we must worship God in spirit and in truth So crucify the flesh And walk in the Spirit And place your trust in Him And you will never walk alone And you will live in victory And be blessed and be a blessing As we place our trust in Him God alone our refuge God alone our peace God alone our hope of eternal life As we place our trust in him Amen |
