George, a spokesperson of the Lord, greets you with mercy and peace and heart felt love.  Sin is a barrier and an opportunity.  On the one hand it deprives you of experiencing the fulness of God's blessings and on the other, it makes you aware of the depravity of human nature and the need to repent, but also to forgive yourself, a much more difficult thing for most.  As was the case with Job, God gives the devil access to your life to see your human condition and the degree of growth in your life.  The devil may come and take away your possessions.  He may come and take away your health.  He may come and plant a word in your mind that when acted upon produces negative consequences which tries your truthfulness and surrender to the will of God.  However he comes, it is a trial of faith more precious than gold, that when overcome produces the saint.  God wishes for us to move from the center, the origin, the essence of our being where He resides by His Spirit that we may move in freedom and love and experience his mercy and grace. This only comes about through the braking of the outer shell of our personal life and moving in the Spirit.  It is sharing in the sufferings of Christ that we share in the power of the resurrection.
