Behold, the judge standeth before the door Jm5:9b Do not judge lest you be judged Do not grumble lest you be condemned Do not read your brother's mail God, the judge of all, stands at the door Unless you have worked out your salvation Unless you are led of the Spirit Unless you tongue has been tamed Don't judge Mortify the deeds of the flesh Greed, avarice, hatred, bitterness, lust, gossip Crucify the flesh Tame the tongue Think only of what is pure and virtuous Think only of what is noble and good If you would judge yourself You would not judge anyone You would pray for God's mercy Judgment day has arrived And only the merciful has no fear of judgment Only the repentant soul washed in the Lamb's blood Is free from sin Only the soul who has learned how to love Has no fear Doors that were open, will close Opportunities for grace will cease And only those prepared to meet the Lord will enter Do not be left outside Do not be a forgetful hearer But a doer of God's word Lay aside every weight and sin and cast out the spirit of judgment Cast out the spirit of pride Cast out every spirit that is not of God And ask for God's mercy Judgment day will bring great terror to the lost Be God's chosen before it is to late amen |
