From the moment that God revealed to Peter who Jesus was, from that moment, Jesus becomes set on his mission to go to Jerusalem to fulfill his purpose as the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.  It is from the moment that others come to know who He is that his passion begins.  To prepare Jesus for his mission Jesus is transfigured in front of Peter, James, and John, becomes full of light, and afterwards comes down to the valley to heal the demoniac and sets his heart to Jerusalem and Calvary.

In these last days Jesus is the pattern for us too.  Romans 8:19 states clearly, "For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God."  It will come to pass that the revelation of the sons of God will manifest itself and is already beginning to happen.  God is opening the eyes of people to see into the kingdom of God and God’s anointed.  As this begins to happen what will follow is the transfiguration of the sons of God.

The fullness of light of the sons of God, the single eye, will occur as the sons of God get their eyes fixed on the New Jerusalem.  Where Jesus had his eyes fixed on Jerusalem and Calvary, the sons of God will have their eyes fixed on the New Jerusalem and the rapture.  Where Jesus performed some of his greatest miracles after his mission was set, so too, will the sons of God perform their greatest miracles in Jesus name before the rapture.

The Spirit of God is going to come on the church like wind, water, and fire.  As the wind drives the windmill to produce power, we too will be like windmills bringing the power of God's love to those in need.  As the fire brings light and warmth and heat in a fireplace, we, too, will be embers in the fireplace of God's love.  And as water drives generators bringing power and electricity to the land so we will be generators of the Spirit as water to the world.  All this will happen as our eyes become fixed and single, full of light.

When the Spirit led and Spirit driven Christian is raptured, the nominal church, those who know Jesus in their head but not in their heart, and the pagan will experience the great tribulation prophesied by John.  At that time many will have their garments washed in the blood of Christ who were faithful to Christ and become sons and daughters of God.  After the tribulation, there will be a thousand year reign of Christ and the church.  The church will come down from heaven with Christ and judge the world.  Jesus will sit on his throne and will judge the living and the dead.  Then Satan will be let loose for a little while and ultimately end up in the lake of fire with those condemned in the white throne judgment of God and the church will reign with God for all eternity.

We are living in the end of the last days.  The sons of God, those anointed for ministry, will be revealed by God to the world.  Great signs and wonders are going to follow and many will be saved.  Jesus will come for his church and the great tribulation will begin.  If you are not born-again and Spirit-filled, pray with someone who is.  Those not living in faith will experience the great tribulation.  For those who are born-again, there is no fear of the wrath of God.  Maranatha!  Come Lord Jesus!
