Happy just to be with
you A different kind of love Not based on looks or wealth Or gifts: a different mood emerges Like the pedals of a flower Open to the sun A gradual change occurs And I am raised to higher heights And deeper depths By the Spirit of God Who has taught me how To live in silence and solitude And allow love to flow From Him who is the source of love Happy just to be with you Without rhyme or reason Or any particular grace What makes you, you Only God knows A mystery That need not be solved Only enjoyed and held In highest regard Contemplation Stillness Solitude The life I choose to live And happy just to be with you The fruit That can come by no other path Then by being in God's presence Thank you God For the gift That brings A different kind of love And for the person Who causes it to be Amen |
