The second only to find your name written in the book of life
When I was born again I made my connection
With a holy God: to walk by faith and not by strife
The victory was mine when by faith I died to me
And was baptized into the death of the Son
It was then I rose to a resurrection life: made free
From sin and death and hell: the victory won
Yet the battle raged between evil and good
And the struggle for peace many days assailed
But Christ the conqueror had already stood
In the gap for me and had prevailed
I like Moses need only walk by faith not sight
To see the Red Sea part and deliverance assured
Whether a week, a year, it is not by might
Being more than conqueror the end procured
When born again I stepped out of time
Into eternity where by faith no matter what the test
I know that God: the mountains to climb
Has gained all for me and I can rest
In freedom, joy, and blessedness
Time is just the opportunity
To see the victory in every struggle we face
Because Christ won for all eternity
On the cross: salvation for the entire human race
Praise be to God for so great a grace
And fear and doubt: not a trace
Forever and ever and ever:
On earth as it is in heaven: a sacred place
