that I am God (Ps46:10) And the work of righteousness shall be peace and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance forever (Is32:17) Of thoughts of words which flow From Adam as their source To begin anew from a different source Only by stillness can we reach A place where God can teach The soul in righteousness to leave All the torment that we grieve Anger fear and judgment must depart Mercy forgiveness and faith must start Righteousness the key to sight Where life's malice must take flight Learn the origin of your thought Born in Adam all are caught Born of the Spirit newness springs Your thoughts a tranquil fulness rings Not enough a sinner's prayer To remove the claws of satan's lair Awareness of self and the inner child Calms the beast and makes one mild Discipline your life today And to the world convey A life righteous, free from stain A child of Christ to remain Spirituality is peace and love and joy Where words and thoughts deploy The Christian message to the poor Free from sin forevermore Amen |
