Spirit is like a bird in flight
The song the bird must sing
The I looking at the me is sight
Open to all that creativity brings
 
Spirit is undivided like the wave to the sea
It knows no separation but is one with everything
It is not bound by any rules and lives entirely free
Lawlessness with love is the theme from which it springs
 
Spirit is spontaneous like only love can be
Neither premeditated nor thought provoked
It moves in higher realms of me
 Where love prevails and reason can be choked
 
Spirit is a gift from God above
Received by faith and a repentant heart
It is fed by the word of God and love
Where stillness and silence play a part
And nature provides a willing start
 
   Spirit is peace and joy
Kindness and tranquility
God's fruit to deploy
For all the world to see
 
The new creature is Spirit born
Religion the tune of fallen man
The blood of Christ to be worn
From the law to be banned
 
To see beyond the flesh of man
Is a gift that only God can give
To enter into his heavenly plan
And in the Spirit live
