Marvelous Light
04/07/2013
George Poulo
Our eyes have seen a marvelous light
Removing all darkness from our sight
From age to age the sinner's eye to behold
The love of God revealed, never left untold

It is the light of the world to see
A beacon directing the lost to be
Pure and holy, faithful and sure
From sin and sickness he is the cure

Those who refuse to be discovered
Will scorn the word  to be uncovered
But those who humbly will repent
Become God's chosen, heaven sent

When you find the one who suffered loss
Deny yourself and take up your cross
Forsake the world and all fleshly lust
And in Christ the Lord put all your trust

It's time for all on earth to know
The one who died for us to show
A marvelous light, redemption's plea
To overcome the darkness and be made free

So do not fear to be made known
Or rant and rave or moan and groan
But accept the verdict from the Son
Who shed his blood, the victory won

And the light will not cause you to fear
But will be a blessing as you draw near
To the Prince of Peace  and Lord of Lords
And we will dwell together in one accord

Amen
