When it is the devil that has set the trap
The world a place of sad contradiction
Where what is real intermingles with what is fiction
It requires a person of faith and hope
To meet the challenge and able to cope
With life and death, suffering and pain
While in the garden a rose we gain
Faith calls things that are not as though they were
To believe in God in spite of the slur
And reach a place where all is well
And the enemy put back in the pit of hell
We must fight the fight of faith to win
Peace and love and freedom from sin
To believe in God when the road gets rough
Faith the victory, our works not enough
God is calling his people to believe
His life, the blessing to receive
When life gets dark and the future bleak
To hear his word when He does speak
Forsake Him not but resolve today
To be at it for Him come what may
For God rewards those who diligently seek
His mercy and grace to those who are meek
If God be for me who can be against?
