Stop running to where you do not know
And seek the face of God and you will find
Deeper depths and higher heights and life will flow
The distractions of life fill the soul
With thoughts and desires, cravings and lust
Placing a veil of darkness over mankind whole
Eliminating faith in the God we trust
Do not be deceived by the tempters lure
Still the soul, quiet the mind, be at peace
Silence is the path to the spirit's cure
Where turmoil, strife and all fleshly desire soon release
Come my children the journey is not in miles
You do not have to go near or far
Looking to find the treasure which gives us smiles
Simply enter your closet seeking the morning star
Grace is the key to paradise found
Earnest effort and will may not prevail
Only patience and hope are the solid ground
And love for God and man which will never fail
So change the course of destiny this day
By looking to find the kingdom within
Forsaking the world and the devil's play
