The ego resists the light
And does not wish to be made known
But God in his mercy and love
Draws you to His Son alone
Enter in my child
Do not forsake the task
The pain of being made known
Will flee as you remove the mask
Truth is a harsh revelation
Until the scales on our eyes be lost
Then Truth becomes your greatest friend
No matter what the cost
So come to the light
And do not be dismayed
It only takes a moment
To let go and be remade
Jesus is the light
He is the only way
To be free from every burden
Make him your Lord today
