| Beneath the shadow of the Savior I would forever fain In solitude and silence To share the Savior's pain Suffering and death Were the fruit He bore Only to transcend the grave Life forever more It is the cross for you and me To follow in His way But grace for all will win the day It is redemption's play His path the Father's will not mine Nor the people's cry Often He misunderstood As to Calvary He did climb The journey is a lonely one Beneath the shadow of the cross But only those who eye the Savior Will never suffer loss So only seek His will not thine And suffer what may come The path to life is only fine When done His way....sublime Amen |
