A Savior Who Saves
1/26/2014
By George Poulo

His life 'til thirty was obscure
No record he performed a cure
His family considered him a little strange
Even thought he might be a little deranged

In the temple at twelve amazingly wise
Left his family behind much to their surprise
Doing his Father's business was the aim
Yet remained submissive 'til adulthood came

In every way man's temptations he knew
Yet from a child in wisdom and grace he grew
A Savior is he with full knowledge of all
He is the redeemer who accepted the call

He healed the sick and raised the dead
Spirit filled with love and by the Father led
For the sinner he came for all to deliver
Gave hope to the poor and gave much to consider

He is the Savior who saves the lost
Gave his life for man disregarding the cost
On a cross he hung, a curse to become
From sinless to sin he died for all not some

If in darkness and doubt you now abide
In sickness and pain you seek to hide
Believe that Jesus can free you he came to save
A ransom for all with his life he fully gave

A Savior who saves is redemption's song
Regardless of sin no matter how long
Come to him now for he knows it all
And by his blood he shed overcame the fall

Repent today and invite him in
He's waiting for you a victory to win
Amen
