A disciple saw a preacher enjoying the fruit of some walnuts so he asked the preacher to give him some so he too could enjoy them.  The preacher agreed to give him three walnuts.  When the disciple saw that the walnuts were whole he was troubled and said to the preacher, “These walnuts are whole how will I eat its fruit.”  The preacher responded, “ Unless you learn to crack the hard shell of the flesh, the hard shell of the world, and the hard shell of scripture you will never enjoy the walnut as I do.”  With that the disciple went away sad.
