There is a story of a bluejay that sees a snail climbing a tree in the fall.  The bird asks the snail where he is going.  The snail replies “I am going to get fruit”  The bluejay laughs and says “But there is no fruit on the tree.”  The snail replies “There will be when I get there!”   So it is in the Christian life.  When you forsake all, lose your life for the kingdom, embark on a spiritual journey, people will laugh.  They will think there is no fruit in the endeavor.  But if you have faith, commit to God, study his word, make every effort to live the gospel, there will come a time that the fruit will manifest and all those who laughed will be left outside and you will enter the kingdom.  Be people who are willing to look foolish and in the end you will be wise and all that God has promised will come true.
