God's Clothing

Sally spent much money on clothing.  She bought silk and satin, leather and suede, suits and dresses.  She dressed to the hilt.

Mary spent her money on the poor.  She gave to those in need but did not have much in the way of material wealth.

When the final judgment came, all the clothing that Sally had burned in the fervent heat of God’s presence.  She entered into the presence of God naked and ashamed.

Mary on the other hand entered into the presence of God clothed in kindness, heart felt mercy, and the meekness of humility.  She wore a garment of praise and entered the kingdom as a queen.

All the wood, hay, and stubble will be burned.  The true riches, the gold, diamonds, and jewels will stand the fire of God’s judgment.

What clothes are you investing in?  Will they stand the heat of God’s fire?  Will you be found naked or swallowed up in life?

Are you shopping at Macy’s or at Lord and Mercy?

The choice is yours!
