I knew but did not know That not only is faith life Faith is also death Faith is a dying To the world To the flesh To self Circumstances present themselves Which cause me to die In order To overcome self-consciousness To overcome weakness To overcome sin And the world I knew but did not know That not only is faith life But faith is also death And so I die To all that is not of God And in dying Rise to eternal life Help me to die Lord Amen |
