A Visit To The Zoo

We live in cages.  Yet none of us see our own cage.  In one cage are the poor.  In another are the sick.  In still another is the sinner.  We are like people visiting a zoo.  We are outside and above and looking in.  Over here is the tiger and over here the bear.  But we think we are free and so we do not see our own cage of false beliefs and false ideas and false perceptions.  We buy a ticket to visit the zoo but we never enter their cage.  We buy food to feed them, some we pet, but we know at the end of the day we will leave them behind and go our way and we call that love and it makes us feel good.  Yet heaven will be made up of those who lived in cages not those who think they are free: the poor, the sick, and the sinner not those who visit the zoo.  Until we see our own cage we will not know the truth and we will not be set free and we will not enter the kingdom of God.  Which cage do you live in or are you still just visiting the zoo?
