What would it take to persuade you that neither life nor death,
angel, principality, or power, or any created thing could separate you
from the love of God in Christ Jesus? (Rom8:37-38) As long
as you stay on the fence, as long as you waffle over your commitment to
Christ, as long as you refuse to identify yourself with the risen
Savior, as long as you refuse to make a stand, you will not know what
the Apostle Paul is talking about. Unless you are willing to go
through something for the sake of the gospel you cannot say that I am
more than a conqueror and that nothing can separate me from the love of
God. The Apostle Paul went through beatings and shipwreck, went
through stoning and whippings and he has the courage to say that he was
more than a conqueror through Jesus Christ. I do not know what
will be your particular test. I do not know what hardships and
trials God will put you through, but if you are born of the Spirit and
the Word takes root in a fertile heart, then I can tell you someday you
can boast with Paul that you are more than a conqueror. Be
willing to go the distance for Christ. Run the race to come in
first and one day you will have confidence that nothing created can
separate you from God. Nothing can keep you from your appointment
with the Savior in heaven and nothing will be able to shake your
confidence in the love of God in Christ Jesus. Amen |
