The
enemy comes to steal, kill, and to destroy
Jn10:10 There is a fight of faith. There is a fight to receive an abundant life, a life of peace, joy, and love. The enemy comes to steal. He wants to rob you of your peace. He wants to rob you of your joy. He wants to deny you love. Don’t let him. He may bring up your past to bring condemnation. He may remind you of the things you have failed to do and the things that you did which were not good. If those thoughts bring condemnation he has won. Sin was dealt with on the cross. If you are born again sin is no longer an issue. You are no longer under the law but under grace. If we are no longer under the law then sin as the transgression of the law no longer applies. Yes we must deal with the flesh, with anger, lust, hatred, envy, jealousy, and greed, but as we crucify the flesh we can deal with those issues. The devil may put sickness upon you to rob you of your peace and joy. Don’t let him. As soon as those lying symptoms surface, rebuke those lying symptoms in Jesus name. Tell the devil by the stripes of Jesus I was healed, that I have been redeemed and that I am redeemed from the power of the enemy by the blood of Jesus and the word of my testimony. Tell him that I have an abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness. Tell him the name of Jesus is glorified in me and I am glorified in Christ. Tell him that I abide under the shadow of the almighty and that God is my refuge and my strength. Tell him and fight the fight of faith. Christians don’t have enemies, their enemies find them. Those enemies may bring persecution, hatred, and strife. Jesus tells us to love our enemies. If we don’t the enemy wins. If we don’t love, we will have hatred, anger, bitterness, and resentment. The way we obey God is by praying for our enemies. We do this by crucifying the flesh so that the flesh does not rise up. We confess, “I crucify my flesh with its affections and lusts. I walk in the Spirit and will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. In Adam all die. In Christ all are made alive.” Fight the fight of faith. The enemy may try to steal our prosperity so that we fear how we are going to live. Confess that God delights in the prosperity of his children. God tells us not to take thought of our life, what we shall eat and what we shall wear. God knows we need those things. We must believe God despite of the facts and of the circumstances. Fight the fight of faith. However the enemy comes to steal, don’t let him. Live in peace, love and joy regardless of the circumstances. If you do, you will live in victory. We are more than conquerors and God always causes us to triumph in Christ! Amen |
