God has not given us the spirit of fear
2 Tim 1

Fear in the spiritual realm is deadly.  Because King Saul feared the people and disobeyed the word of God, he lost his kingship, his anointing, and his peace.  Because David feared losing the battle, he took a census and God killed thirty thousand Jews in three days.  We can fear many things.  We can have a fear of heights or a fear of talking in public for example and God knows this.  But to fear what God is telling you to do and not doing it is a fear that God will not tolerate.  Even Elijah who was a great man of God feared Jezebel and ran for his life.  But God visited Elijah in the mountain and spoke in a still small voice to him.  Abraham the father of our faith always acted from faith leaving his homeland and offering up Isaac at the leading of God.

Fear is also a hindrance to healing.  Months ago my knee gave out and I could barely walk let alone climb stairs.  I live on the second floor so I need to be able to negotiate steps.  When this happened I went into prayer and I went into the word of God.  I did not fear what could happen if I couldn’t walk but praised the Lord, spoke by his stripes I was healed and found Hebrews twelve where God said he would strengthen the feeble knee.  Without going to a doctor I was healed within two weeks.  If I had moved in fear instead of faith I would not be well today.  When the enemy puts something on us we have a choice.  We can believe the word of God or we can look at our circumstances.  If we choose to look at our circumstances we will live defeated lives.  If we choose to believe God’s word and confess it until it moves from our head to our heart and spirit we will be healed.  We should walk in victory not defeat.  Sicknesses are lying symptoms.  They tell us we are not more than conquerors in Christ.  They tell us that God does not cause us to triumph in Christ.  They tell us that by his stripes we are not healed.  We must not let those circumstances outweigh the word of God and cause us to live in fear.  If we do we will not get our healing and the devil we have the advantage over us.

Fear is a spirit.  Fear can lead to sin.  Fear can cause us to lose our healing.  Fear can get us sick.  Fear can keep us out of heaven.  The remedy for fear is confessing the word and casting out the spirit of fear.  The remedy is to believe in God and not in our circumstances.  The remedy is rejoicing in the Lord giving him praise and worship.  The remedy is speaking only the truth which is the word of God and not speaking the facts and words of defeat.  The remedy is to live by the truth, the word of God, and not in what the world, the flesh, or the devil is telling us.  God does not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind.  Get in touch with the word and have a sound mind.

Amen
