The Doctrine of Christ

He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
2Jn9

Sin is the common denominator in all mankind.  If you say you have not sinned, you make Christ a liar.  Jesus specifically came for the sinner.  In reality that means everyone.  Yet on the other hand, God does not want us to sin.  The Pharisees thought they could keep the law through sheer willpower.  In reality they were full of pride, jealousy, and judgment, far greater sins than the earthy ones.  They did not realize that they needed the grace of the Holy Spirit, the grace of Christ, the anointing, to become holy and righteous.  If the church professes that we should not sin but does not equip us with the Spirit, or does not advocate the need for the spirit of Christ, it is preaching a false doctrine.  The doctrine of Christ, if anything, is the need to be spirit-filled to attain holiness.  It is an anti-Christ spirit that imagines that one can live out the word of God without the anointing, without Christ.

St. John tells us that the anointing will teach us all things.  We need the Spirit to overcome the flesh.  If we do so without the Spirit we will become hard and vindictive.  Pray for the Spirit.  It is essential to live the gospel.  It is the doctrine of Christ.

Amen.
